UNDER THE LIGURIAN SUN

SOLI’s final program of the 2015-16 Season, is a precursor to the Ensemble’s first International tour set to take place in and around San Remo Italy, in July 2016. SOLI is planning a series of concerts and informal pop-up performances in and around San Remo, offering some of the best American contemporary music has to offer. The program will include some of SOLI’s favorite works from American composers such as Still Movement with Hymn by Aaron J. Kernis, Street Antiphons by Pierre Jalbert, Musica, por un tiempo by Robert X. Rodríguez, as well as fun arrangements of popular music from Italy and around the world. Also on the program composer Daniel Asia‘s touching work Breath in a Ram’s Horn, album, composition to be recorded following the performances for his upcoming CD of “Chamber Works” with Tenor Robert Swenson and flutist Angela Jones-Reus.
